Seal the Terrazzo Sidearms

(11/15/05) Small cracks in the terrazzo need to be addressed before they spread and salt works its way in. LK suggested two different sealants. BB to check email archives and forward to Corinne.

(1/17/06) MA met with NER, but recommendations need to be revised. What application will prevent further cracking? How often must it be applied? How can we prevent water seepage? MA will also check with All Star.

(3/21/06) Discussed proposals from B&M Restoration and NER for repairing and sealing the front steps and side arms. Filling with apoxy and resealing should prevent further cracking. This maintenance should be done every 5 years. NER proposal was not clear. MA to clarify the NER proposal—what would the pricing be for filling the cracks, sealing, recaulking the sidearms, and for sealing the steps.

(4/18/06) From MA’s conversation with NER over the phone, the pricing in the write up is for a
single stairway. MA will modify the B&M list of actions and pricing (to white out the company name and prices) and send it to NER to get a quote, so that it can be clear that prices are for the same work.

(06/20/06) Still waiting for NER quote.

(08/15/06) Trustees have decided to go with B&M bid. NER quote for the same work was almost twice as expensive because they charge union rates. The work should be done sometime in the next 2 weeks.
